Rattler custom rods have proven themselves against most species of salt and
fresh water fish for over 30 years.
Every structural component of the Rattler rod has been blended into a fine
tuned, totally functional fishing tool. Over the course of the past 30 years, I
have accumulated and used all the information available from rod builders, rod
manufacturers, tackle manufacturers, hydraulic engineers, fishing guides and
everyday fishermen like you and I , to design and build an instrument with
maximum sensitivity that will enhance one's fishing skills by increasing the
number of detected bites.
I fish a lot and my friends fish a lot. This is more than a full time business to
me. It's a quest. Designing and maintaining the most effective fishing
equipment is something that I love to do.
I have experimented with various rod blanks, blank actions, reel seats, and
guides in order to design the ultimate fresh and salt water rods that would
have a combination of light weight, flexibility, strength, sensitivity, beauty, and
overall class. Rattler Rods have it all.
The 6-6 medium action, fast tip rod is the most popular weighing in at 3.5
ounces and is a joy to fish with. It's sensitivity with a salt water jig in shell is
unbelievable while at the same time, fresh water fishermen love it's fast tip
action for spinner baits, crank baits, and top waters. Fresh water worm and jig
fishermen have claimed to double their hook-ups by picking up on more light
bites with the medium heavy and heavy actions.
The Rattler Custom Rod's carbon graphite "feel through" reel seat (allowing
one to actually feel the rod blank while fishing) is permanently bonded to the
rod blank allowing the fisherman to detect the lightest of bites which are often
missed using a mass produced, commercially marketed rod off the rack. It's a
simple concept... You increase sensitivity, you feel more bites, you catch more
fish.
